In this class, Andrina will guide you through the techniques behind basic watercolour painting and brushwork, including colour mixing and theory, creating gradients, washes, glazing and adding detail to illustrations with watercolour. After an introduction to materials and practical techniques we will work together on a range of exercises and a series of small watercolour pieces with a focus on botanicals and insects.
This class is a great place to explore watercolour art, no matter your level of experience. Anyone can learn how to paint with watercolours, and this class caters to both beginners and those with some painting and illustration experience. Come join us for a beautiful day of painting at our vibrant artist studio, just a ten minute walk from Green Square station.
